Who doesn’t LOVE Pillsbury Pastry?
Well, I’m here to take that yumminess to the next level.
Sometimes the easiest thing to do is to “upgrade” what is already in your refrigerator. So go grab 1/2 block of Cream Cheese (roughly 3 oz), 1/4 c. Sugar, 1/2 t Vanilla, and mix in a small bowl. Then open the pastry container and place each square on a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper, Silpat, or sprayed with a light coat of Pam.
Then spread the Cream Cheese mixture over each square. Now place about 1T of the fruit mixture in the center of each square. If you are like my sweet hubs, then you won’t want the cherry filling and will opt for the cream cheese spread only.
Ok, now, fold those babies over and pinch the point of each roll. Now place in a pre-heated 350 degree oven for about 12 minutes or until golden brown.
When you remove them from the oven, tenderly squeeze the icing packet over each pastry roll.
Now it’s time to enjoy one…or two…or all six if you are really hungry. I’m usually really, really hungry. Just sayin’. JK, kinda…but they are really addictive so beware. They will make you weak in the knees.
