Seriously. This stuff is so addicting! Perfect for a hot summer day. A year ago me and my girls strolled the Farmers Market in downtown Salt Lake City. We saw this LONG line in front of this small booth. We walked over to see what all the fuss was and saw a wonderful concoction they were making there on the spot of an ice cold drink. We quickly got in line and waited our turn. When we got our ice cold, freshly made and shaken Lime aide drink we learned real quick this wasn’t a drink to share. We all wanted our own. The line was way too long to wait again so we came home and recreated this drink. It was the perfect beverage for that hot summer day. This is my version of that moment that I will never forget. I sure hope you enjoy it as much as we do. Especially if you are sitting under a big oak tree with spanish moss hanging from it as the warm wind is blowing somewhere in the south. Ahhh…the thought. Miss my Texas home.
Start gathering. Limes. Sugar. Mint Leaves. Mason Jar. Ice. Water.
Pour 1/4c. Sugar in first.
Then 1/4c. Freshly squeezed Lime Juice.
Add the rind of one lime, 4 Mint leaves, and fill with Ice and 1 1/2 c water.
Put the lid on and Shake to blend the yumminess together. I can hardly wait.
Ta-da! Perfect drink for my hot summer day. This makes enough for two drinks.
