No Bake Chocolate Oatmeal Cookies

So when I have a bad day I immediately want chocolate.  I want chocolate in all shapes and sizes, but I don’t want to invest a lot of time before I can consume said chocolate.  So this is my go-to recipe.  Fast and delicious.

A mixture of peanut butter and chocolate is ALWAYS a good idea right?! 

Here’s the glorious recipe of escape from all of your troubles…

Mix the following in a saucepan and cook for 1 minute.


2 cups Sugar

1/2 cup Whole Milk

1/4 cup Cocoa

1 Stick Butter

Dash of salt

When this is all melted and blended together add 

1/2 cup Peanut Butter and 1 teaspoon Vanilla.  

When that is blended smooth and add 3 cups Quick Oats.

Drop onto waxed paper and let set until firm…if you can wait that is!!!


It’s really hard to wait until they set.  I may or may not slide these into the freezer to speed up the process.  They are best cold with a glass of milk if you ask me.
