These Oreo Truffles will make your heart skip a beat this Valentine’s Day (or any holiday).
Those who are lucky enough to receive one will think you spent hours in the kitchen, however they whip up so fast!
All you need is a package of Oreo’s (any flavor will do, but original are my personal favorite), softened, 8ounce ,room-temp cream cheese and 1t vanilla.
Place the entire package of Oreos in a food processor and pulse until completely pulverized.
Then mix the Oreo crumbs with the cream cheese and vanilla.
It will end up looking lik chocolate cookie dough.
Now either make small balls by scooping with a spoon or use a medium size cookie scoop like I did and place them on a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper.
Next you’ll place them in the freezer for 15-20 minutes to harden up before dipping them in melted chocolate.
I love the Ghiradelli wafers that are sold at Sams. They are the very best, but Hobby Lobby or other craft stores sell the colored wafers that I use for decorating. You can also use melted almond bark.
Now for the decorating…
I used more Oreo cookie crumbs and cute heart sprinkles.
Now it’s time to dip each truffle and decorate!
This is the final design. Too beautiful to eat?!?! No way! I let them harden, pop them in a ziplock bag and into the refrigerator to keep until I’m ready to serve or deliver.
These are really to die for. Promise. Take 5 and Create these delicious bites from heaven. Happy Love Day!!!
