Tie Dye American Wreath

IT’S DONE AND PERFECT!!!
If you want to check out my wreath tutorial on how to tie dye coffee filters…
It’s really quite easy and it’s very rewarding.  When they were dried I attached the coffee filters to an 18″ wood wreath from Michaels (go big or go home I always say). I wasn’t getting the full Red/White/Blue effect I wanted so I grabbed my white coffee filters I had left over and made some flowers with those.  I just used two filters for each.  So… 2 filters in White together, then one red edged, one blue edged together and glued my life away for about 30 minutes.  Didn’t take long and I just listed to an audio book while I worked.  DO IT!!!  It’s awesome.  CREATE SOME PRIDE TODAY.
LOOK AT THIS PROUD AMERICAN WREATH!
As far as embellishments:
I went to my local craft store and searched for some patriotic baubles and ribbon.  I glittered some wood stars and made “fireworks” out of silver pipe cleaners.
PIPE CLEANER TIP:
I used two together, twisted them around two fingers and hot glued them down.
Once I glued the “fireworks” on, I separated them a bit to make them look like they exploded like a firework.  Then I took some red/white/blue striped ribbon (about 6″ long) and trimmed the ends and hot glued them together and then into the wreath.
Then I grabbed my ribbon, bunched it together and tied a bow, hot glued it and viola! Seriously makes me happy.  Happy 4th Ya’ll!
